How to Read TBC Auction House Market Movers
Market Movers compares supported price observations for the selected realm, faction, and timeframe. An increase means the observed market price moved upward during that window; a decrease means it moved downward. The percentage describes recorded listing movement, not guaranteed profit or completed-sale volume.
Why large moves need context
A dramatic percentage can come from genuine demand, falling supply, a reset market, or one unusual listing after cheaper auctions disappear. Before trading, open the item's price history and check whether several nearby observations support the move. Repeated prices across multiple snapshots are more useful than a single isolated point.
Using movers as a research list
Rising items may deserve attention from players who already own inventory, while falling items may reveal a cheaper entry point or a weakening market. Neither direction is automatically good or bad. Check current listing depth, historical range, Auction House fees, and how much gold would remain tied up if the item sells slowly.
